Parish Stewardship

The Joy of Stewardship 2020 Appeal

Time

Talent

Treasure

“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”
1 Peter 4:10

Dear Parishioner:

I am writing to you on behalf of the parish’s 2020 Stewardship Appeal. You might be wondering what stewardship means. Stewardship is based on the spiritual principles of the Old Testament and the teachings of Jesus in the Gospels. Stewardship is a way of life, a way of thanking God for all His blessings by returning a portion of the Time, Talent and Treasure allotted to us. Your stewardship defines Blessed Sacrament Church as your volunteer efforts drive our church ministries an define our community of faith. Your contributions are our primary source of income.

As you reflect upon the abundance God has given you, how might you generously share that abundance with your Parish community? As you review the materials in this Stewardship Appeal, pray and listen for God’s response. We invite you to discern how to actively participate in our worship, and how we provide service to others. Your contributions of Talent can be identified in the Talent Commitment Form here.

The future of Blessed Sacrament Church depends on your gift of Treasure. Your donations keep our lights on, heat our church, and keep the grass cut and sidewalks plowed. It’s what we use to fund our growing maintenance and repair budget; and it’s how we sustain the vibrant ministries that serve you and your family.

It is at this time each year that we ask you to thoughtfully and prayerfully revisit your financial commitment to Blessed Sacrament. When you know in your heart that you have been completely honest with yourself and with God, then your contribution is the right amount to give. Please complete the Treasure Commitment Form here.

The best way to contribute to Blessed Sacrament is through online giving. It’s a simple, safe, and convenient way to set up automatic recurring donations to our parish. Check it out by visiting our website—BlessedSacramentBuffalo.org—and clicking “Donate Online” in the top menu. Or, you can fill out the Treasure Commitment Form for automatic transfers from your credit or debit card, or bank account.

We ask that you return your Talent and Treasure Commitment Forms to church during the weekends of November 21-22 and 27-28, Stewardship Commitment Sundays. Place the forms in the basket
located at the entrance of the church. You can also mail your forms to the rectory.

We would not be able to do all that we do, or do what needs to be done, without your gifts of Time, Talent, and Treasure. Thank you for you continued generosity to our Parish!

Pax et bonum,,
Fr. Joe
