Clothing Collection through October 31st.

Coats for Kids and Hearts for the Homeless will benefit from this collection.

Gently used clothing items for both adults and children, such as coats, hats. gloves, scarfs, are most welcome.  Place in the bins located in the vestibule of the church. Items will be accepted until October 31st.

Hearts for the Homeless will also take small household items and blankets and other linens.  Coats for Kids, sponsored by Colvin Cleaners, will take clothing items needing dry-cleaning or mending.

A Biblical Walk Through THE MASS @ St Joseph Hall
Sep 29 @ 6:30 pm – Oct 27 @ 7:30 pm

This is a 5-week course sponsored by the Adult Faith Formation Committee.  Learn about the Biblical Foundations of the Mass’ prayers, rituals and symbols.

It will be conducted in person and by Zoom and will culminate with a teaching Mass on October 30 and 31.

A Holy Conversation About Race – Interactive Session @ St. Joseph's Hall

The Peace and Justice Committee Invites You To Join in the Conversation.

Leading the session will be Marianne Partee, PhD, the co-founder of “#One Body” a diocesan group organized to address racism in the Catholic Church.  She is a member of St. Martin dePorres Church.

Book Club – Virtual session

The Book Club will meet Virtually during Standard Time months.  Contact Kathleen McCarthy at mccarthy2937@aol.com to get the link for the meeting.

The discussion will be about “Therese” by Dorothy Day, founder of the Catholic Worker Movement.

This is a biography of St. Therese of Lisieux, the “Little Flower”.  The book was originally published in 1960 by Notre Dame University Press.  The 2016 edition with a foreward by Robert Ellsberg was published by Ave Maria Press (198pp).  Both editions (used) are available on Amazon.

Monthly Food Collection

The Monthly Food Collection is given to the Food Pantry at the Network of Religious Communities.  Food donations should be placed in the blue bin located in the vestibule of the church.

Non-perishabe and unopened items are always welcome:  Soups; pasta and pasta sauce; cereal; crackers;cookies; canned fruits and vegetables; tuna fish; peanut butter; jams and jellies; salad dressings; olive and vegetable oils; coffee, tea, and cocoa mix.
